(SB) Game Thread (2): (4) Florida vs. (2) Oklahoma, Tuesday at 2pm on ESPN

It would be incredibly amazing if the Gators can pull off this win today. We'll be the visitors and will be facing their ace, while they will more than likely go against Keagan again. Advantage Oklahoma. But with this team, anything is possible.

 

It was the greatest margin of defeat for Oklahoma since February 2020 when they were run ruled by Washington.

Ya'll were all just "Sooner this and Sooner that", I knew all along we would wipe that arrogance right off that OU face.

Last thoughts for today:

1. I'm reminded of last year at the CWS when we stomped a mudpuddle out of LSU only to have them return the favor the next night in a bigger game. It will take a supreme effort for the Gators to pull off back-to-back wins against a prideful 3-time defending national champion with 10 outstanding seniors on their roster. To say the Sooners will be Gator hunting is an understatement.

2. So happy Tim Walton is now 1-4 against Patti Gasso. Go get'em Tim, make it 2-4.

3. The best baseball team in Gainesville is the softball team. What a terrific run for Gators baseball and softball over the last 2 days. Hopefully, both teams have plenty of fight left ahead of them.

With limited staff I realize all of the sports stretch and stress them out. I don't expect coverage year around coverage, but at least have some during the season.

I'm not going to lie - I really, really, really would like to see coach Walton and this group
of hustlers, send OU packing. Yes, it will be a tough ask, but so was yesterday and our Lady Gators did it.

I have "Sooner Fatigue" and there is no coach or team better suited to "destroying" that myth - TODAY!!!!

It's possible to get a 2nd win against this version of Oklahoma. While still a daunting task, it's at least attainable this year.
