Let The Gators win two today, camera pans the pro OU crowd, and then the Snickers candy bar commercial....... "Wanna get away?".......... Just trying to be positive.....

The NCAA should look hard at moving the WCWS out of OKC. Multiple weather delays every year, home field advantage for OU (and OSU), close fences down the lines, and a short (not tall) fence for the entire outfield. Oh, yeah: very limited parking at the field, too.

I've been wondering the same for the last two years. I'm sure the stadium and central location has lots to do with it. I don't know much about softball but I have to think there are few softball stadiums in the continental 48 that hold that many people. The last thing they should do is play in some baseball stadium with temp OF walls and an infield that doesn't make sense. Please if anyone has other comparable stadiums like Devon Park and the Softball Hall of Fame, I'd appreciate learning about them.

 

Beating Oklahoma twice in one day would go down as one of the biggest upsets in WCWS history.

 

Think the contract runs through ‘35. With all the NIL and schools paying directly, title 9 issues that will arise, etc…who knows what college sports will look like a decade from now?

The Love family, of the Love truck stop fame, are Sooner alumni and have given the softball program, basically, a blank check for facilities and NIL use. They have a distinct advantage, not only with the home crowd every year, but with having way more money to spend on softball than any other program in the country.

 

I suppose they could play the WCWS in Florida. No weather delays here in the spring and summer.

If anyone on here even thinks about moving it to Tropicana Field, they should be banned.
