We gave their receivers too much cushion in the first half and allowed King to make some easy throws. The back seven played much tighter and forced King to make longer throws against pressure.
Not so much figuring out how to cover receivers. It is more of being given the chance to play the receivers tighter. Zone coverage can be great if you have the D Backs all on the same page (skill level decision making). However it can be a disaster if they are not on the same page. It looks like the coaching staff has cut or lengthened the leash by letting the Gator D play. As time goes by they will improve in filling up the gaps and tackling better. Just need to play to win the game, instead of not making mistakes.
