It's definitely a trap game... The 2 road games with about 48 hours between trips are not easy. And UGA is actually decent. Winning on the road in the SEC is tough- ask Mizzou about that. (They lost to Arky Saturday night.) We also forget that Mike White teams usually had at least 1 great win each year, maybe more. Usually when we least expected it. Its funny- most of the posters dismissing this notion are focusing on the physical. (Tired legs, etc.) But this is also a mental grind. It's not easy staying sharp each game mentally. It doesn't compare to the NBA where teams play 82 games and 1 game means almost nothing.
Lest not forget the the leghumpers also played on Saturday, on the road I might add. Same boat as us. With them having a good game aubie, that should keep our attention, plus it is a rivalry game.
Au contraire, a single NBA means a LOT. It means the silly folk who buy tickets to them, especially in the first 5 rows, are a LOT poorer in the pocketbook!
Well , now that UGA is only playing the #3 and not #2 team in UF due to the recent AP poll, maybe UGA will be less motivated to win Just kidding of course
Georgia is better than LSU and has good shooters. The refs will favor them which we will have to play through.
The time I saw the Poodles at home the court and stands weren't well lit. Neither was the place I watched the Chickens. Maybe it's all of that black and dark red.
I know they have to beat us eventually, but I really don’t want it to be now - for them to play spoiler would just suck
I could see it being like the LSU game. Especially working Condon back, maybe it's a little choppy the first 20 mins. However, golden has shown he puts in work at halftime and the players respond. Gators pull away in the 2nd half. Side note, can golden share some wisdom with Napier on halftime adjustments? His 3rd quarter or first 10 min of the 2nd half have been amazing this year.
we need to use it as motivation for ourselves: play like we did against LSU and drop in the poll the odds are favorable for that, but it's not an absolute as there is the possibility that they never beat us again
It's definately a trap game, but CTG wants the #1 overall seed (not just a #1....#1 overall) so I trust he has them motivated, focused, and ready.
I am not one to blame refs or call for conspiracies - but Georgia is the last SEC team on the bubble and on the wrong side of it. Perhaps if the conference wanted an unprecedented number of schools receiving tournament bids, some calls may favor them as they desperately need a signature resume win
