(SB) Game 1 Thread - WCWS Game 1 - Florida vs. Oklahoma State

You win the Jim Cantore Weather Award. LOL.

 

So softball is playing Oklahoma State, not in Stillwater and baseball is playing in Stillwater, not against Oklahoma State.

 

How's it looking weather-wise for our 9:30pm start?

 

Strong line of storms building west of OKC. Still quite a distance away. Wild guess....it gets there just about 9:30.

 

Disregard post #44-TWC latest hourly forecast shows no rain till after 1:00 AM.. Rain chances till then are about 15%.

I'm not buying 15% but that very nasty line of storms seems to have slowed. It may or may not get there during our game but it won't be there by 9:30. I expected it to get to Elk City by now and it isn't close to them yet.

 

We could play OSU in stillwater, but that’s not who we play first.

 

You would make a good TV weather guy.

 

I think we’re going to play reasonably close to the expected time. GO GATORS!

 

The sky is opening up so starlight from the heavens can shine on our Gators. Terribly corny I know…go with it! Lol

 

Well, I haven't been right yet in my guess on timing so I don't think so. My other rant though, is our game won't start before 10:00 EDT, which means a midnight or later game for those of us in the east. The original schedule has a 4.5 hour gap between the start of the second and third games. That isn't necessary and isn't fair to people in the east who have to decide if it is worth it to stay up past midnight. You can't change the weather but you can make the schedule fairer for fans in different time zones.

Looks like we should start about 9 cdt. Line of storms looks to be coming through about 11:30. So, it will be close on finishing it.
