(SB) Game 1 Thread - WCWS Game 1 - Florida vs. Oklahoma State

Doesn't look good for today. Severe weather expected almost all day and evening in OKC.

 

Severe thunderstorms are about 30 minutes west of us. Tons of tailgaters here and there a line up to get into fanfest.

What's the latest time our scheduled game can start today?

 

Having that late game is definetley not an advantage to us.... hopefully jsut move us to tomorrow.

 

Agree. The weather doesn't look good for today. Current radar:

If the weather is better on Friday, they may have to start Friday as the first day. I hope there are no tornados in that nasty looking weather.

 

They should be able to get at least 2 in today. About 2 pm to 9 pm looks good.

 

Love the boots on the ground reports. What's fanfest -- merch and stuff? I'm guessing a pretty psyched-up crowd. Mostly Oklahoma fans?

 

The fewer games that get played today the better for us.

 

So if our game gets pushed to tomorrow which looks incredibly likely our reward for winning would be nothing? As in no day off?

 

Yes. It's in our interest for our games to be played as scheduled.

 

Sort of. The reward would be the evening off, as a loss would likely put us back on the field later in the day.

 

Unfortunately that’s unlikely. I have a rain stick and I’m willing to dance but I don’t have any anti rain/lightning sticks.

 

I didn’t want to even bring up losing. Staying in winner’s bracket more important than ever.

 

Thankfully winning is the one and only thing our Ladies can control. Get that win Ladies. Go Gators!

 

Good chance they get back on schedule for tonight. There was a lengthy gap built into the schedule between games 2 and 3. The flip side is the Weather Channel this morning was predicting another strong line of storms moving through OKC this evening.

 

Weather radar shows another line of thunderstorms hitting at about 9:30/9:45 Eastern time, but it appears as though it travels through quickly.

 

How's the GC Junior Meteorologists Society holding up? So far, so good weather wise. At first pitch of Game 3, the nearest rain to OKC is 350 miles away due west. Time will tell as far as the Gators game goes. But, best not to worry about things in life you have zero control over.
