They do, but I feel our team can put up some big scores against them.

Loser of UF/Texas flips to the other bracket. Winner stays in their current bracket

I love it to see Katie hit a home run. She has so much joy in her running strides and demeanor when rounding first base, looking toward her team to share her joy with her teammates.

I thought it's the winner of the loser bracket that flips over. Let's jsut say we beat Texas and osu beats stanford.... I thought the winner of Texas and OSU flips over.

Texas is no doubt good but they have weaknesses. A&M showed the world that.

In case UTex goes with Mac Jones on Saturday night, the Gators just beat a better Mac Jones in Lexi Kilfoyl. I'd actually like to see one of the fast ballers so the Gators can tee off better and put more runs on the board.

UF is greater than Stanford. I predict UF will be 2-0 after beating the shorthorns.

We have won bigger games, but none were as satisfying as this one for me,

Congrats to the Gators on a well-played game against one of the best pitchers in all of collegiate softball. The Gators paid Oklahoma State back for that 3-0 loss early in the season in Gainesville when one bad homerun pitch by Keegan Rothrock gave the cowgirls the win.

Keagan Rothrock had the best pitching performance on day 1 of the CWS. Keagan only gave up 2 free passes, both in the 1st inning. I think Keagan is better when she goes after the hitters aggressively like she did tonight. It was a terrifically entertaining 1-0 pitching duel. Facing a strong homerun hitting team like the cowgirls, Keagan has given up 4 total hits in 2 games. Well done!

That was a defensive gem at the wall by Kendra Falby, need you on base more please.

Katie Kistler's homerun was a thing of beauty. She has to be Gator senior proud tonight.

Only so many top 3 ace pitchers in the world and we just got past one of them. Our offense is still beyond elite. Sleeping offense atm but deadly nonetheless. I don’t care about the rest of the world. I want us Gator fans giving our team all the good vibes! WCWS game one v

Oklahoma has weaknesses as well, it’s up to our kids to take it back.

I don't have the words to properly celebrate the victory last night except to say it was one of the greatest wins in the history of Gator softball. PS. Kendra's catch made the ESPN top 10 plays of the day.

Pitching inside, if you can throw strikes and avoid HBP's is a very effective pitching strategy. Not easy to do especially in today's softball when batters lean in and do not mind getting plunked at all. Batters cannot extend the arms for power and they constantly hit the ball with the bat making contact just above the hands. No Barreling up. Constant short pop ups to infielders. That's what happened last night, I think.

Pre game and early on I assumed Okie Jr. would get a dinger or 2. I mean that team coming in had 93 homers on the season, so far. More than Florida. Was just hoping there wouldn't be 1 or 2 on base when they occurred. Instead? Zip, zero, nada nix.

Also, take a look above at the clip of Kistler's swing at about the 36 or 37 second mark. The classic HR swing. Arms extended. Head tilts down just before contact and...... get that pitcher a new ball. Reminds me of another lefty pull hitter's swing. #9, Roger Maris. Google it up some time.
