I guess Matt Gaetz is now guaranteed to be on the cover of Time Magazine as "Man of the Year."

I think Time should start a new annual tradition. Put on its cover "The Most Punchable Face in America." It would be Matt Gaetz hands down.

Well, that's what happens when you turn the base up too loud - you blow out the speaker.

(can't take credit for that ...)

Fun fact: House rules say that anyone under indictment can't be Speaker.

Doesn't the rule just refer to an indictment? They can say that it doesn't apply to someone indicted four times.

Wouldn't surprise me if they actually do so.

"Gym" Jordan has announced his candidacy for the Speakership. I guess if he does win the position one of his first proposals would be an amendment to the House rules requiring male members to wear suit jackets on the floor of the House.

Years ago, I invented a measure for face punchability: The Kiffen. I have to admit that Gaetz’ face rates at least 1.4 Kiffens at this point.

I'd like to adopt this model as universal.

How's this scale work? Kiffen is the baseline 1? Did Ted Cruz lose points when he grew a gross beard? Is Pharma Bro the highest score ever?

Ha. Yes exactly, Kiffen is the standard at 1.0, and I do think Cruz’ score went down with the beard. Pharma Bro’s smirk-thing is definitely a high scoring feature.

Gaetz disgusted that a R would work with D’s to do anything. Zero co-op son, or get your ass unjobbed!

To drive this point home he co-ops with 210 D's.

The moves signal the anger among GOP leaders toward Democrats, who voted with a small group of far-right Republicans to remove McCarthy as the House leader.

That line from the article really shows how far republicans have shoved their heads up their own asses. They can't control their own party ... so blame the democrats. They are literally mad at the democrats for not voting for a republican.
