Look at the timing of the Gaetz report. It was released right after the report showing the J6 Committee members were conspiring to suborn perjury to get Trump.

Gaetz was an effective critic of Deep State corruption and criminality so they came after him. As Chuck Schumer said, if you go after the intelligence communities
