Wait until Gaetz and MTG find out that Jesus was a Jew. That's gonna blow their minds. Gaetz and MTG will have to hide behind Pelosi and Obama so they can whitewash themselves.
Regardless of whether Gaetz and MTG are right or wrong on antisemitism, what Congress needs to pass is a Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene Awareness Act. All the act would need to say is, "They both are (expletives deleted)."
Jesus was the Son of God, again, if you believe the Bible as the literal word of god. He was sent to be a Christian, not a Jew. The Jewish religious leaders rejected him and were extremely jealous of him. And this was the way it was supposed to happen. There is no mystery about it. Yes, his own people killed him.
Another Fun Bible Fact: “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” pertained to the Romans who placed Jesus on the cross and not to the Jews who cried “Give us Barabbas!”
Gaetz and MTG voted against taxpayer billions for foreign war and spying on American citizens. If only for that: Gaetz-MTG 2028.
Whaaa? A Christian by definition is 'a follower of the Christ.' Christ being derived from the Greek word for Messiah, translated from the Hebrew word, Mashiach or Moshiach. How can a messiah follow himself? In Jewish eschatology, the Messiah is a future Jewish king descended from David who is expected to be anointed with holy anointing oil and rule the Jewish people during the Messianic Age and 'the world to come'...olam haba. The Messiah is also referred to as King Messiah, Melekh Mashiach. Did you know 2 messiahs were prophesied? Messiah ben Yossef and Messiah ben David. The linked tutorial was written by the late Chabad Lubavitch Rabbi Jacob Immanuel Schochet. May his name be blessed. Read more than the limited miniscule 4 permitted paragraphs copied below, at the link. Tutorial: Moshiach Ben Yossef (Moshiach.com) Jewish tradition speaks of two redeemers, each one called Moshiach. Both are involved in ushering in the Messianic era. They are Moshiach ben David and Moshiach ben Yossef.[1] The term Moshiach unqualified always refers to Moshiach ben David (Moshiach the descendant of David) of the tribe of Judah. He is the actual (final) redeemer who shall rule in the Messianic age. All that was said in our text relates to him. Moshiach ben Yossef (Moshiach the descendant of Joseph) of the tribe of Ephraim (son of Joseph), is also referred to as Moshiach ben Ephrayim, Moshiach the descendant of Ephraim.[2] He will come first, before the final redeemer, and later will serve as his viceroy.[3] The essential task of Moshiach ben Yossef is to act as precursor to Moshiach ben David: he will prepare the world for the coming of the final redeemer. Different sources attribute to him different functions, some even charging him with tasks traditionally associated with Moshiach ben David (such as the ingathering of the exiles, the rebuilding of the Bet Hamikdash, and so forth).[4]
I often wonder which stories were embellish the most, the story of Jesus Christ or the story of Mosses... You can't say one story is 100% true but not the other one... can you? The stories are what they are... To believe in these stories is to believe in the person more than all of the intricate details of their lives.
People who believe the Bible is riddled with errors somehow firmly vest their hopes in the God to which it points.
All the books of the NT were likely penned no later than 63 AD. And whether culled from other records or simply preserved as oral tradition, I know I remember events of twenty and even thirty years ago in stark detail.
What you can say is their miracles were opposite in nature. Moses called down plagues upon his enemies and destruction upon his followers who sinned. Jesus healed and forgave his enemies and his followers.
Don’t expect you to take my word for it. On the other hand, why would you take another party’s word for it ?
Well, it wasn’t just plagues. Moses was told to free the people from bondage. Arguably, Moses used the power of G-d to free the people, Jesus used the mercy of G-d to save his people.
