This is apparently a very popular event where otherwise straight/macho guys get to wear dresses. I don't think I'd look good in a dress and not judging them.

Yeah, you never corroborated any of it. That is the point. You just believed what somebody told you and spread it, claiming it is true without evidence. So yeah, you are wrong until you provide evidence.

    Eyewitness testimony is evidence.

Is hearsay evidence? Are you presenting us with eyewitness testimony or hearsay?

Hearsay would be something like some of the inside info we get with regards to recruiting. You have no idea what the source is. You have no idea where it came from. You have no idea who said it. If Billy Napier personally told you that Eli Ricks was a silent commit to UF, then that is not the same thing as heresay because it would be coming from a source that would reasonably know something like that. That would be a slam dunk as far as recruiting intel is concerned. A student that I know is in a high school classroom every single day is on the same level as that. And I know this person extremely well. This isn't just some random person that I don't know their character. And I know the context in which he told me this information. There was no reason or motivation whatsoever to lie in the context that he did. And this person is not a pathological liar. There is a level of certainty here far above hearsay.

Nonetheless, when ideology has an axe to grind against eyewitness testimony people will try to discredit the eyewitness testimony. Y'all would make great lawyers for thieves, rapists, and murderers.

Plank getting trolled by a high schooler is pretty hilarious. Hat's off to the kid.

Ah, there it is: the righteous victim card.

You're in a huff about something you have no clue about what it actually is, but someone told you it's a thing and that it's bad and that kids are coerced to do it by the evil democratic state.

And with this thin conviction you take to a message board to claim righteousness. Lol.

Hearsay is not. Nor do people usually accept a single eyewitness in the absence of literally any other evidence (to the point that it is an issue asked about in jury selection).

No hearsay is saying "somebody I know said this happened." Which is what you did.

Add on the complete lack of evidence and the fact that kids have been trolling adults with this story for a while, and it is actually pretty funny that you bought it hook, line, and sinker.

I grew up with a guy and just out of high school told me a story. He and two friends were driving down 441 between YeeHaw Junction and Lake Okeechobee. He said they were going down the road and thought they saw a big hog in the road, but as they got closer it stood up. They were pretty close, and he said it was at least six feet tall. It took off and jumped the fence. He swore it was true,

That is a threshold for convicting someone of a crime. It is a higher threshold than the threshold for reasonable grounds to believe something. In general, though, when someone says something like "I saw Lauren at the store today." I typically don't turn into an interrogating Nazi and ask for proof, and tell them they are indulging in hearsay because they can't corroborate what they are saying with evidence. If you really live your life that way I feel very sorry for you. Assuming you consistently live by your own principles, then I would be willing to bet you have very few friends and you are not married. I suspect that is not the case, and this a stupid charade because of political loyalty. And I suspect you don't really live your own life by the ludicrous principles you are advocating here. A person should not require a rigorous statistical analysis, a source from a scientific journal, or a news report from the MSM to be believed when they tell you what happened in their life today. If you really live that way you are probably the biggest pain in the rear of a person to be around, and everyone who knows you probably hates you.

Furry culture is nothing new. CSI had an episode way back in 2003. Fur and Loathing. But kids dressing up as furries at school? Not happening.

My son couldn't wear his costume today because his Bowser costume has a mask, plastic spikes, and a spiky, blow up turtle shell. None of that allowed. No way would a full furry costume be allowed on Halloween, let alone daily.

There may be some kids who wear a tail and/or ears. Also nothing new. What Not to Wear had a 2013 episode with a woman who wore a raccoon tail daily.

I also agree, in today's world with kids carrying a full video camera with them at all times, there would be video evidence ofva furry in school. There is no way a full furry costume wouldn't get caught on camera. Regardless of what one kid said.

I'm sorry you believed something false, but that doesn't mean you need to attack me personally. Yes, I am happily married.

No, I don't believe in hoaxes that have been hoaxes every single time they have been claimed are really happening in your town just because somebody told you that it was. People told tons of people that they were happening in community after community in which it was a hoax. So unless you have some evidence, the most likely outcome is that somebody told you something that wasn't true for any of a variety of reasons.

But there is a pretty easy solution: find some actual evidence beyond somebody you know told you and you want to believe them. Short of that, people are going to treat you like the guy yelling about how his friend was abducted by aliens while he was looking at bigfoot being eaten by the Loch Ness Monster. Trust me, I don't think those things happened either.

Quite plainly you did not like having your announcement of furries in a local (Gainesville?) high school discredited and disbelieved, but with the way others like Lauren Boebert for instance, have continued to repeat similar charges that have been found to be false, it should come as no surprise people will not believe it is happening without some sort of corroborating proof.

Your response to the perceived offense is couched in language that attempts to ascribe your own angry reaction to other people of his acquaintance.
    _______

"If you really live that way you are probably the biggest pain in the rear of a person to be around, and everyone who knows you probably hates you."
    __________

Little doubt it was intended to hurt and offend in equal measure with the rejection and scorn you received earlier in the thread. His response recognized the hate filled 'attack', but patiently repeated his reasons for doubting your report.

Perhaps without you realizing it, the faults you assign to him and the hate you project in the comment, ''everyone who knows you probably hates you" are deflections or attempts to deny your own animosity.

In summation, your reaction towards the person addressed in the quoted post comes across as an indicator of your own attitudes, revealing more of your own character in what you projected onto him.

As a long time lurker . Gator plank sounds a lot like the guy who posted about being a unicellular. Different bit but the “ thank god I escaped the clutches of porn” line he posted earlier. Is a raging clue. Either way it’s a cry for help.

I have a source who is a prominent attorney. He tells me the other day that there are furries in his child’s middle school in CT. He had calls home from the dean because his son was chuckling about the ears the other child wore at school.
This person isn’t the type to make shit up.
