We were never 0-4. There is dysfunctional dumpster fire over a year or two and then there is existential crisis. I believe FSU is facing the latter and think boarding the titanic now a bad choice.

Of course, I did wonder why any kid (especially offense) would come play for Muschamp in year three and four.

you saying stuff i already know but the difference between Muschamp and Norvell situation, since we’re going there, is Muschamp at least had a 11 win season under his belt the year before and the D wasn’t an issue during the 4-8 season.

Exactly. It isn’t a good parallel at all since Muschamp had a Sugar Bowl appearance. Norvell is in his 2nd year and STILL hasn’t won 4 total games. I mean come on… And he hasn’t played Clemson or UF once!!!!

Maybe he wants to read how NorveLLLL developed a first rounder into an undrafted player...Im sure Marvin thinks NorveLLLL is great.

Why FSU's Marvin Wilson doesn't regret last year, even if NFL draft stock fell

I won't bacon you because I only disagree with half your post. D was definitely an issue when you lose to Group of 5 team at home that could not complete a forward pass and only attempted 2. That was the most piss-poor effort I'd seen out of a team since Doug Dickey was roaming the sidelines.

I wont disagree with that but i mean did they have any help offensively? D still finished 15th nationally that year.

But when it comes to Hunter, no matter how good he is and may become, that squad needs a helluva lot more than him to turn that sinking ship around lol

It was all about the Jameis, Jalen, and Dalvin swag when these kids were starting to pick a team, and they were the only good state team in their formative years.

Then throw in immediate PT, FAMU girls, lax discipline, and the pretense that everything wrong in the program is a anomalous mash-up of Willie T and the Covid, (which all all sounds great when it's filtered through a teenager's confirmation bias), and you've got overperformance in recruiting...at the moment.

Holding a prior commitment in Sept. is one thing, but we'll see who actually signs on the line that is dotted in Dec.

That article that came out last year showed what happened. Jimbo got laxed when it became apparent that FSU wasn’t going to invest in the football program like he felt they should do to keep up with the other top programs and then he bolted

PK Sam posts are brutal. Some of the worst I’ve seen from a former player. Basically calling the fans, alumni, and admin racists due to name in stadium and treatment of Willie, as well as comments FSU fans have sent him directly. Said Willie performed better and was not allowed to finish out second season.

Man let's keep it real, even though as a black man it sucked seeing Willie get the axe (even if it was at a rival school), FSU wasn't going to win another game with him as HC in 2019 and would have been just as bad in 2020 as Norvell was. He was not a big school coach. Things were trending down QUICK with him BEFORE the end of the 2018 season.

Hey, if Norvell can keep most of this class together—all the credit in the world to him. I guess all you need is a narrative. After all, it isn’t like these recruits would be playing on this 2021 Noles team. But I agree that a more thoughtful recruit might wonder whether Norvell currently has 0-4 talent (or enough to be doing much better) and whether they will be adequately coached and developed as players.

His ACC schedule may save him. That conference is so bad that it is easy to pick up wins. This week, Syracuse; UMass as a non-conference.

Not apples to apples. We went 4-8 with a 5th string qb and about 40 injured players. Not sure how we fielded a team with the players that were left. I bet the punter was getting reps at linebacker that year.

If he goes there, big deal. f$u has talent on the roster. That's not the problem and adding more talent won't fix what ailes them.

Who was our strength and conditioning then? He was an ACL injury waiting to happen… then we went from him to the strength coach who believed conditioning was completely optional and should be done at Gainesville Health and Fitness only if you are nfl prospect…
