Alan Ritchson (Jack Reacher) is open about his Christian faith and states the obvious. (But I would strongly disagree it’s the entire Christian church)

“I’m a Christian quite simply because of what Jesus calls us to do: Love other people until death,” he said. “It doesn’t mean we’re all to be hung on a cross, but how can I suffer for you? That is a beautiful thing… he posts videos exploring the Bible and how it relates to daily life and his work”

Christians today have become the most vitriolic tribe,” he said. “It is so antithetical to what Jesus was calling us to be and to do.”

Trump is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian Church seems to be treat him like he’s their poster child and it’s unreal,” he said. “I don’t understand it.”

“Russell Moore, former top official for the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC)…

Multiple pastors tell me, essentially, the same story about quoting the Sermon on the Mount, parenthetically, in their preaching—'turn the other cheek'—[and] to have someone come up after to say, 'Where did you get those liberal talking points?'" Moore said.

"When the pastor would say, 'I'm literally quoting Jesus Christ' ... The response would be, 'Yes, but that doesn't work anymore. That's weak," he added. "When we get to the point where the teachings of Jesus himself are seen as subversive to us, then we're in a crisis."

Evangelicals are now rejecting 'liberal' teachings of Jesus

You can find them in the Bible, but it's hard to find Christians who actually follow them.

That you actually believe that is mind blowing. Somehow, the essence of Christianity escapes you.

As a human none of us are.

Currently we have two choices (unfortunately) that can win and lead with policies. So I am going to vote for the one that will implement more policies that follow my values.

It’s really not that hard of a concept.

Not at all. There are two candidates with a chance to win (unfortunately). They are running for a secular office and I am going to vote for the one that will implement more policies that align with my values. This is not hard.

Though I think you want me to feel bad or something?

Still waiting for the evidence than anyone in power is attempting to establish Christianity as the Religion for the United States.

I will say maga has backed off the whole family values thing. They no longer profess to be on the high road. Especially when Trump is the face of who they are and support

The notion of creeping theocracy is funnier than a praying mantis on a pogo stick.

The secular left has nearly annihilated the religious right both politically and culturally.

As an example, the United Methodist Church as just struck down, by a 93% to 7% margin, all language and bylaws prohibiting LGBTQ from assuming leadership roles in the church.

Policies? Values? Such as? I keep asking for specifics, and you keep being vague. Its not that hard of a concept to say what you mean by things either.

We have Republicans in congress openly calling for it and it's supported by a large percentage of Republicans.

They (religon nuts) want to turn the country into an "Islamic" model whereby free speech is eliminated, secularism is eliminated, academic integrity is eliminated, and citizens can be hauled off to concentration camps if their "religosity" is not fanatical enough.

Then of course the Protestants can start killing each other depending on "which" bible you study, and how one prays - "Is it" - In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost or "In the name of Jesus Christ". Protestant sects are at "war" with one another over this stuff you know.

Thats the new American vision of the GOP.

The policies are the establishing of. Nothing official like a big banner needs to be made. Putting two and two together, it's not really that hard of a concept that it is what is going on, as you said.

Keep acting unwitting, though most know you truly aren't.

The Handmaid's Tale was not meant to be a documentary, yet some of the sick bastids want something like that for America. Despicable.

That has nothing to do with establishing a religion. It does not take a Christian/Muslim/Jew/Atheist/Etc to agree that killing a child for convenience is wrong. Just like there are some that follow those beliefs and think it is okay to kill a child for convenience.

    Still waiting.
