Using the logic of posters here I'm sure folks would have been happy to put Hitler in a Swiss Chalet not to rock the boat.

Trump is a criminal of the highest magnitude and should be convicted for murder and sedition for Jan 6th.

    Grow some BALLS!

He’s only arrested if he doesn’t turn himself in after getting a notice to appear after he is indicted.

Trump once again playing the victim card while likely blatantly ignoring the legal process he claims so near and dear. Instead he’s calling for protests in advance of a hypothetical pending arrest that he controls.

Want to avoid indictments? Don’t pay porn stars and centerfold models hush money with campaign funds. It’s not rocket science.

I’m so tired of this freaking idiot and his moronic minions playing the “Trump’s an innocent victim card” while blatantly ignoring the law and the day he no longer walks the earth will be a good day for us all. Going to jail will just make him a martyr and further divide us but that’s no reason not to indict him if the evidence exists to support it. Just like I said about Hilary, and Hunter, and Bill, and Cuomo, and any other politician (or anyone else) who breaks the law

Anthony and Zimmerman were both overcharged. Not by a little, but by a lot. That prosecutorial incompetence is what I was afraid of in the Chauvin case, but the Minnesota prosecutors made the right call and got a conviction.

Given the politics involved here, Trump will be charged in a manner that will mark the trial for next spring/summer. Contrary to what many here want, and to the Mueller investigation which didn’t even lay a glove on him, the objective here is a long, embarrassing, well timed trial. This will give the media time to dust off their Russia Collusion” tactics and play it out with “Leaks” for 12-14 months.

Either way, I think Trump is done. They will just cripple him from campaigning and fundraising and then run out the clock. They could not care about a conviction once he is not a candidate any more.

I don’t suppose this would galvanize Republicans or anything.

    Good time to
The Statute of Limitations in NY is generally 5 years for a felony. The issue is when it started running. He's not being charged with having sex with Stormy Daniels, so the time didn't start running immediately after that 90 second encounter. It didn't start running when Cohen made the hush money payments to her or when Trump reimbursed him. It probably started running after he filed the last disclosure/state tax form claiming the payments as legal expenses. I think that was likely in 2018 from what I've read.

There may also be tolling provisions that stops the time from running while he was out of the state, for example.

Not all is doom and gloom in Trumplandia, however. His legal team, whoever that may be, has an argument that this is being overcharges as a felony, that it should only be a misdemeanor. The Statute for misdemeanors is two years and the matter would likely be time barred if the judge buys their position.

I believe Zimmerman was overcharged or the jury was not presented with all the options. Anthony was not overcharged imo, you know damned well she was the one who killed her daughter. The jury heard child abuse and manslaughter charges and failed to convict on those too! They apparently bought into the long after the fact story that it was “accidental drowning”, and that it was the grand-father who dumped the body. An unlikely tale, you don’t tie and ductape the body of a child who accidentally drowned. It was definitely a circumstantial case, but there was no other reasonable explanation. Not sure what else you think the prosecutors could have charged, I guess they missed an “improper disposal of a corpse” related charge, but even on that - if the jury bought the defense story (as they must have to failed to convict), the explanation was the grandfather was the one who disposed the body.

The boys over at cuckchatter are probably ironing their militia fatigues and stocking up on ammo.

Are you talking about the Mueller investigation that documented numerous instances where Trump obstructed justice and set out evidence of other crimes he could be prosecuted for except due to that DOJ memo? That investigation?

When it comes to technology Musk has been a brilliant innovator. When he has strayed outside of his field of expertise he has demonstrated his incompetence and in this case his incompetence as a political prognosticator will exceed even his incompetence as the CEO of social media company.

Freaking millions of taxpayer's dollars have been WASTED investigating President Trump, and not even a j-walking ticket has been uncovered. And you want him to be "perp-walked?"

    TDS is a real disorder...

The negative reppers in this thread are suffering from TDS.

You are about to get a very rude awakening in the upcoming weeks/months in multiple state and federal jurisdictions. New York is just the first.
I will derive a great deal of satisfaction from that.

If this happens (and it should be noted that we only have Fox News and Donald Trump's word on it that it is, and we all know neither of them are reliable sources), I vote that we make the mugshot his official portrait.

Trump was a cruel dictator who crushed democracy with an iron fist.

So they banned him from Twitter, voted him out and arrested him.

To complicate Trump's life a bit more, his attorney for the Stormy Daniels case may not be his lawyer much longer. From another thread:

It’s also interesting how often Fox makes a lede story out of Musk’s thoughts on something

OT: I would change this to Elon has done a good job of taking a company he bought out from under someone else, refinancing it, hiring good engineers (the innovators), and pushing a direct sales model (not sure if his own idea). As for innovation, I think he is more Steve Jobs than Steve Wozniak.
