As a general rule I would say Maddow and Lemon are fact based. They can be very slanted in facts presented in some cases and they obviously have a bias. Fox is to the point it isn’t even fact based, they are making stuff up. They are pretty much lies and pure propaganda these days.

I am glad for your positive story, but what does it have to do with the government forcing women to bring early term pregnancies to full term?

Its just another side to the debate. CNN isnt interested in that side.(there are thousands of similar stories no doubt.) Thats the point.

So the other side of the debate is sometimes non aborted fetuses grow up to be nice people, so therefore the government should force all pregnancies from conception to go full term?

No. The other side of the argument shows woman that their are better solutions than the one that CNN wants to push.

But that wouldn't help the narrative so....

The solution that the pro-choice side wants to push is that the woman should have the choice. Your sister had the choice and it worked out for her. Your side is that the woman shouldn't have the choice -- that your sister shouldn't have had the choice.

A couple of hours ago, the lede headline on the Fox website was something about a "Dem-run city" thrown into chaos by crime, was wasting police on guarding a movie set.
Then it was a professor at a 'liberal college' who had called for Rushdie's death.
Next was that a Republican warning that Democrats are planning huge tax hikes.
The fourth headline was about a young girl who had her lemonade stand shut down her town. I'm guessing that Alliance, Ohio, is not dominated by liberals because politics were not mentioned.

So you think CNN should be advocating which choices should be made? The issue is whether women have the choice. I don’t think CNN is advocating that women SHOULD have abortions. It’s advocating that it is their choice.

Geez. I turned this into an abortion thread.
Thats on me. Not going to have the same tired debate again. That wasn't my point. I should have used a different example.

I dont think they should be advocating anything really. Thats more to my poont. I dont think news and advocating go together. News is... "This is what happened"

    Facts.

    Opinions are not news.
    Advocacy is not news.

As for the abortion part, see my post just above.

The news should not advocate. Period.

But the shows have every right to advocate. The networks need to make sure the opinion-based shows are not broadcast or framed as “News”. And the networks are doing a terrible job at disclosing that distinction, because people are getting their “news” from the Shows.

Agree. And it's their homepages too.
CNN and Fox seem to take turns firing shots at each other. And they litter the opinions in between news stories. There is no line of demarcation any longer.

I looked at their website and it doesn't appear so. You can request a sample of their ratings but have to submit to a sales call first. Deal breaker for me.

CNN is a combination of news and advocacy. 20 years ago Fox was news and advocacy. Now Fox is pretty much disinformation and propaganda.

As to abortion it isn’t news that if fetuses are not aborted they usually end up as people. Every living person on earth was not aborted.
