What are the 10 best college football teams since 2000? | FOX Sports

    1. Miami - 2001
    2. USC - 2003 & 2004
    3. Texas - 2005
    4. UGA - 2021 & 2022
    5. LSU - 2019
    6. Bama - 2020
    7. Bama - 2011 & 2012
    8. Michigan - 2023
    9. Clemson - 2018
    10. Florida - 2008

Is it me or does every team on that list pulverize 2023 Michigan? Hard to see them at #8.

Just like Fox to put 13 teams in a top 10 that only spans 25 years. My teenage daughter could do better. Credibility equals zero.

That LSU team had a fairly average defense if I remember correctly, but I think they could have scored at will against most of these teams.

If they had a better defense, they might have been placed higher.

2006 Gators would have beaten a lot of those teams

I never understand the 2001 Miami hype. Yes they had a boatload of NFL talent i will give them that. But they didn't really dominate all season. Look at their games and I believe it was Boston College? They had to have a rally to beat. I guess for me, with that insane amount of talent, they should have performed better

@gotime51 I agree 100% on the 2001 team. Without a doubt it was the greatest accumulated talent on a college team ever. However, there wasn’t great coaching. Coker was there at the right time to inherit a roster with which most good coaches could go undefeated. As Davis’ recruits moved on to the NFL, Coker was exposed as the average coach he was. Saban’s teams with nearly equivalent talent were able to navigate through much rougher waters. We are going to see teams buying NIL championships in the same manner Davis recruited his roster.

Pretty sure I remember that Vegas gave UF the closest odds of beating them that year, but we all remember how that season turned out. :(
