Former Pence aide has message for MAGA fans: "Trump doesn't like you"

A sadistic part of me was about to give you a "come on man" just to see your head-wobbling reaction.

Trickster ruined it, of course... talking about ignoring people who hand them out. It isn't entertaining if I can't see the aftermath.

Come on, man!

 

For those defending Trump’s hate of the common man with “all politicians are like that!” - does it occur to you there are matters of degree?

Yes most prominent politicians have a degree of narcissism and sociopathy. But in spite of that many of them go in thinking they want to accomplish something, and then rationalize dysfunctional behaviors as a necessary means to an end. Trump doesn’t care about anybody but himself. Period. It is 100% about himself. He doesn’t care about issues. He doesn’t care about red states or blue states or common folk or the vendors who do his work. It’s all a big giant game to him to feed his fragile ego.

 

I'm almost there Aging but not quite, I still believe many in Govt serve with an altruistic bent, such as my Congress woman Chrissy Houlahan. Served in the military, successful business person and now a well thought of official on both sides.

But we exist in a culture with a media that is hyper partisan for one side or the other, relishes hate, exposure and destroying cooperation.

I am no fool, Govt jobs are means to make a living, and for the dishonest ones, A fast track to undeserved wealth and fame.

Rep Houlihan is not one of those types.

 

I personally am not. In fact, I am a teacher. I just wanted to highlight some examples of viewpoints that make sense to some people and really do not to others. It’s tough to know how adjudicate such debates.

Very much agree. Unfortunately, we don’t have simple equations that can guide our political actions. I do think that if we are going to confidently claim that a large majority of politicians are corrupt, we should have some strong evidence. I’m not sure how to get this evidence, but I’m equally unsure of how to acquire evidence for the opposite claim. So it’s not clear to my why we should default to some people’s intuition over others.
