On Sunday, Langford hit a 2-run triple off the wall and had a really nice defensive play in LF. https://www.mlb.com/news/wyatt-langford-hits-first-big-league-triple-in-rangers-loss
Langford tried going from 1st to home on a 6-3 ground out..and almost made it.. He was running on the pitch, reached 2nd about time fielder was throwing ball. 3rd was left uncovered, so he kept going. Home also uncovered(catcher was backing up 1st base) , so he kept going again..lol But the C or P, cant recall now, beat him to the plate w/ ball,,barely. Pretty funny
I’m watching the replay of the game now. In the clip above, it looks like wyatt is beat by a mile. The angle from the batters eye shows it was MUCH closer. I’m actually not sure wyatt didn’t get his hand down before the tag, but it was so close it probably wasn’t gonna be overturned.
first MLB start since..lol I assume he made a start or 2 in spring.. Only 2 starts in 2022 before the TJ & missed all of '23 Game was ppd. Will try again tonight.
PPD again.. the Alonso v Mize will have to wait. Langford in 3 hole today between Seager & Garcia. Nice spot to be.. on now fyi
