India has absolutely outperformed my expectations so far. Great to see from him. A terrific rookie year.
According to this link, India is now greater than -1000 to win NL RoY. Vegas Insider still has him at -950. With only 2 weeks left, the odds are quite overwhelming. 2021 MLB AL & NL Rookie of the Year Odds Tracker
I have been able to see him play a pretty fair amount of ball games this season and I am proud to say that I have seen Jonathan play nothing but team baseball—quite impressive considering the year he is putting together. Congrats to you Jonathan!
2 Gator solo shots so far in the STL-NYM game. Alonso with one and Bader with one. Bader also had a 2 RBI single.
Brady finishes his day with his first MLB complete game. (2/7-inning games ref: Double Header) 7 IP 6 H 2 R 1 BB 7 K Congratulations Brady! Hopefully the first of many in a long and successful career.
I hope he isn't a new Tom Thresh. He was Rookie of the Year for the Yankees and didn't have a great career. I had several of his rookie cards.
Maybe not but @gatorjjh does try and does a great service. I usually give him grief only when a picture is from the old Comiskey Park and it doesn't jive with the story. I loved that ball park. I went to IIT as an undergrad mostly because I could walk to the ball park. I sat once in the left field general admission seats and the GM (Roland Hemond) sat next to me and asked me what was wrong with the team and what could be done to fix it. I spent a Spring semester seeing every game from the centerfield bleachers for $0.50 a ticket. Those fans were hard core. I have gone to the new ballpark once and hated it. It is the last of the horrible ball parks.
Been to Chicago 4-5 times and I have never visited Comiskey (old or new). Driven by it of course on the Dan Ryan but never went to a game. Did get to go to Wrigley this summer for the first time. Sat in RF. Loved it. Could literally do it every single summer day.
