Disco, who had been having a great year, got destroyed today. Gave up 10 ER in 2.2 IP vs the Dodgers. ERA is still sub 4.00 even after that outing.

 

No mention of Harrison Bader going on the DL list with a rib bone fracture diving for a ball?

I don't normally follow MLB, but I did catch this today.

 

Mike Zunino just hit his 12th, on pace to 36

 

Pete has been on the DL for the last 10 days. So far today, he has a 2 RBI single and a Jack. Welcome back Pete.

 

Dunning pitched a gem against the rays. 5 innings of shutout baseball against a team its hard to keep off the scoreboard. Left with the lead, but bullpen let him down in the 8th. Rays ended up winning 7-1.

 

Dunning is solid. Always has been.

 

Dunning doing it in the bigs and couldn't crack the weekend starting rotation at UF... Gotta laugh at the quality of pitchers we had for a while there.

 

He was our kopps that last year. Could come chew up innings in the middle of the game, pitch several days in a row. Then Anderson would come in and slam the door in the 9th. Dunning looks like the most successful guy out of that group so far. And he's lookin like he'll be around for a while.

 

Yes- exactly our Kopps his last year here and his performance earned him a 1st round draft pick... I think #29 overall.

Disco has had a really nice year so far. One atrocious outing but otherwise terrific. Great to see.

 

Kowar getting the start tonight. Hopefully he is a little less nervous.

 

I know that most folks want a lot of scoring, but 1-0 games are full of drama and every pitch counts. My favorite kind of game to watch.

 

If you watched the highlights, some terrific defense.

 

Yeah great to watch but not what you want on the mound. Up by eight is good there.

 

Little less nervous? He lasted twice as long as his debut – he got four outs instead of two!
