Well I guess him giving up baseball was incorrect.

 

must have been bad info or pure speculation, I have no info but with the timing of him leaving I would guess he and Sully had their post season conference and that led to KB deciding that another venue made more sense that hanging around here at UF, just a guess tho

 

looks like JJ needs to get some new hittin' shoes

 

Neither from what I hear. He was telling friends back home from mid-season on, that he was done. I had heard this rumor, but didn't pass along until he actually left the team and it was fact. He was telling people - not so quietly - he was burned out, frustrated and just wanted to go to school and hang with friends. Guessing that after he officially left the program, the phone started ringing and he received a terrific offer to head to Tampa and (this is a guess) given some certain assurances of his role when he arrived. Best of luck to him.

 

thanks for the info, I hope it works out for him liked watchoiong him play and a powerful hitter when he connected, remember last season he hit a monster out of RF
