I think the best thing Pinkins is able to do is to get the guys to go and have some fun. This isn't life and death. I thought his demeanor was perfect against Iona and so...let it ride. This is a veteran team. They know how to police themselves.
The single most frustrating aspect of our game with Iona for me was the turnovers while we tried to inbound the ball. I remember it happened at least twice! So maybe when we play Xavier, it will be an opportunity for us to see if Coach Pinkins can get that single issue corrected. Obviously there is more to improve on but this is something very measurable, IMHO, as well as something very critical.
Who was the best assistant coaches? In the 2nd half against Iona, I thought UF drove to the basket & made cuts as well as we did all year. The offense looked good. If we play like that we can beat them.
