I think the message this actually conveys could have been stated more plainly: “Welcome to Florida, the big state with little man syndrome” If you have to keep telling people how great you are, you probably aren’t. “The Sunshine State” is much better, IMO.
As a seventh gen Floridian, I’d rather that sign say “Turn your transplant ass around and go back north.”
No, I meant "Indian". And I meant "your" and not "you are". If you use the expression "turn you are ass around ...", then you really are seventh generation Floridian.
I get a kick out of the big deal that was made of the white boots. Several of my in-laws are commercial fishermen and most commercial fishermen wear white boots. I seriously think it is because in the Florida sun and heat white boots are a lot cooler than black boots.
Gov Desantis isn’t a commercial fisherman but decided to play dress-up with his wife and the pics are funny.
It had nothing to do with a "festival" it was during the recovery period for a hurricane. That is what was silly about the media response. Many were wearing rubber boots his just happened to be white. The media made a big deal out of nothing.
Ah, it wasn’t a music festival but dressing for a hurricane. Got it. that explains the standing water and why everyone else is dressed in foul weather gear. “Sir, here are some basic rugged shoes if you want to change out of those……Nancy Sinatra boots. No one else here is wearing anything like them. You won’t be wading into water. Please sir?”
White boots do not leave marks on a fiberglass surface. And I can personally attest to the fact they provide the necessary protection to feet/legs when pulling mullet from the gill nets hauled onto a Trembley bird dog. Sneakers, etc will not cut it in that work environment.
Did you not see the sign in the OP? The Sunshine State is in the sign! But if you want to get upset about adding “free state”…okay.
Well you posted about the sign and “The Sunshine State” LOL! But you care less. Okay lol! You just don’t like DeSantis is my bet. No other reason to chime in like you did. Am I wrong?
Uhhhh. . . It’s a Florida-centric message board, dude. I post here on topics I don’t care about all the time. It doesn’t take much effort for me.
