I'd give him about 6 or 7 games to get straight and if he can't get his percentages up, it is time to give his minutes to some other guys.
I'm rooting for Niels Lane to be a bigtime player for us. I have a soft spot for guys like him and Reeves and JJ who came here as freshman and not transfers.
Bonham misfires on a questionable shot. Stony Brook throws it away. 28-14 with 6:51 and another TV timeout.
Like somebody said . . . they're not afraid to shoot . . . but are also going through CC at the high post and it's opening the floor.
The rotation will of course shorten, but you have to be pleased with the depth that we appear to have this year. Lane was starting at the end of the season. It looks like he is 8th or 9th off the bench. And he gave us some really solid minutes last season.
I was going to say the same, but because I love defense. He's out there bouncing on his toes. The others are flat-footed.
For sure. Last year's team was like a pack of wild dogs on defense but struggled to score and turned the ball over way too much on offense. Looks like we have a lot of really skilled players this year. Hopefully they will take care of the ball a lot better.
