(SB) Florida vs. South Florida Official Game Thread

MCB51 will be splitting time between softball and Women's Basketball (@Miss. St), so I offered to get this thread going. I don't have ESPN+, so those who you who are watching the game, PLEASE give us your visual perceptions as the game develops so we can have more insight as to what's actually going on. USF's lineup is already posted and I'll put Florida's up when I see it.

USF comes into the game 3-1, same as the Gators. They beat Illinois St. 1-0 in 9 innings, beat Bethune-Cookman 10-0 in 5 innings, beat Michigan 1-0 and lost to Oregon State 7-1. Their starting pitcher, Lulia Apostolakos, is a 5'10" freshman who is 1-1 with a 0.95 ERA. She has thrown 7.1 innings, given up 3 hits, 2 runs (1 earned), 4 walks and 1 strikeout. USF, after 4 games, is batting .209 with no HR, 19 hits, 12 walks and 11 K's.

Fixed. I'm old and mess up more than I used to. Thanks for letting me know.

 

The only real difference in the lineup is Mia Williams is missing for the first time. She's struggling at the plate, still looking for her first hit. So Reagan Walsh is starting at 2nd, Brown at DP.

 

The game has started and it's not on WRUF radio. Falby flew out to CF on the 1st pitch, Otis walked on 4 straight pitches, Wallace singled to RF on a 2-1 pitch, Otis going to 3rd.

 

I found the radio broadcast on the USF network. That should be interesting.

Wallace teals 2nd, then Otis scores on a sac fly to CF from Erickson.

 

Walsh walks on a 3-2 count. AK up and singles on the 1st pitch, driving in Wallace. 2-0 Gators.

 

Brown lines out to CF to end the inning. Nice start for Florida.

 

WRUF Gator sports is carrying the women's BB game, so it appears there's no radio broadcast for this softball game. So I'm listening on the Bulls network.
