They would be competitive in the SEC. At least a couple of those guys would start for most SEC teams.
His ability to get us in our offense and also get loose balls was in big, especially after Lofton’s exit. Bonham has not looked terrific through two games. You can tell he is nervous. The staff obviously trusts Jones more right now because of his experience. He has no confidence in his own game right now, though.
This is what Golden groused about in the presser. Felder, Reeves, and Jones were all good on the D glass. CC was fine, too. But Richard had a goose egg on that end, Fudge only had 2 in 23 minutes, I believe, and Lofton had none in 25 minutes (admittedly a guard, but still). Biggest weakness so far through two games.
That’s really not bad for our # of possessions. Golden said it was under a 15% turnover rate, which is his target. I think some of them were just bad turnovers (live ball, backcourt, etc).
It's also not bad for the 2nd game of the season. Pretty darned good, in fact. Typically, we would have 15 to 20 this time of year.
I looked them up. Home games only. R. B. Clyburn reffed our Elon game last year. Three years ago he reffed our Vandy, Long Beach State and Towson State games. Five years ago our New Hampshire game. Josue Nieves three years ago reffed our UNF game and five years ago reffed our UNF and Incarnate Word games. Rob Rorke reffed our Bama game in 2020, Auburn in 2018 and Little Rock in 2017. Not a lot of games here for any of them.
