From what I have seen of Kitna, I like him. But portal QBs we should be looking at aren't the benchwarmers. We should be eyeing guys like Drake Maye or Sam Hartman. Those guys are battle tested and have done well. They would thrive.

 

Maybe Kitna will be next year's Trask.

QB is the one position where a bench player can truly make a huge impact. Due to the importance of the position, teams load up. Examples such as Joe Burrow show there can be multiple starter worthy players in one QB room. I mean look at when we had cam tebow and Brantley….would they have survived the temptation of the transfer portal?

 

Certainly true that we should have 3 or 4 viable guys at the QB position. Currently, Kitna, Max Brown, Jim Miller. We have Rashada coming in. The only guy with real on-field experience is Kitna, and he has very little. I would certainly welcome a transfer of high caliber at the QB position. I believe we are looking.

The kid has looked cool, calm and collected in the little bit of playing time he's seen. He has what the military refers to as "command presence," - the stuff of which leaders are made.

 

Any thoughts on Hudson Card? 4* Soph QB out of Texas? He's played some and apparently did pretty well when he got the chance.
