I wouldn’t care about this if we were super active in the portal.

But since we hired 22,500 people to “evaluate” the portal and all we’ve got to show for it so far is a rotational DL from Louisville and Graham Mertz, I kinda care a bit.

Agreed. He’s also an injury risk. The rumor is Oklahoma. To me he should be bound for a lesser program.

we are quite active…in having players entire the portal. And watching others get players. Takes the army to follow players in social media and evaluate and by the time we evaluate…players have already chosen the destination.

    Tarquin in the portal???
Do not understand this. To all those saying we had to turn the roster over this is the 2nd or third that we didn’t need to lose.

Agree with Tarquin. My other would be Borders and McMillon.

    Tarquin- oh no- starter
    Helm- crud- starter
McMillon- worst case s depth piece but likely a starter a great teammate.
Whit- Great hands and depth piece

Two of those guys were seniors that didn’t play and Helm wasn’t a starter after Jaydon Hill came back. Sounds like they wanted to make McMillilon a LB and he was not down for the change. Helm was the only one that would of contributed next year.

There are some guys that no matter how talented simply don’t want to buy into the new system.

I think there is zero consequence to losing these. Helm is good, but we're deep at CB right now so no big loss.

I'd rather rely on the 3rd string freshman RB, and give him modest snaps, than a 6th year senior RB that has not gotten carries in a 5-year college career.

Tarquin hurts, for sure, IMO....and puts pressure on the staff to get a OL transfer (maybe 2).

The Braun transfer doesn't make sense to me either.

Besides Tarquin (and maybe Braun), all others won't be missed on the field.

Anytime you don't have experienced depth it hurts.
