What little time he did get he did not look good at all. Small sample size for sure, but looks to me like he will struggle at this level

Collier and Borders were the 2 in the portal that surprised me. Collier was a 5 star coming out and I remember everyone being happy to get him. He is plenty fast from his HS tape. Was he that overrated or did he just not pick up coverage and tackling technique at the college level? Did the other studs at Palmetto make him look great?

nah, a lot of us knew he was slow and undersized in HS and it was hidden by Jason Marshall, Savion Collins, and Leonard Taylor being on his team too. I'm not saying he was a bad take, but he def wasn't a 5* like Rivals had him listed as.

Not sure what happened with Borders though. I know he wasn't the most athletic LB but I thought he'd figure out the position. Guess not. We'll see

If this kid excels at USCe, a nail in the coffin for our TE coach and talent evaluation peeps

Our talent evaluators loved him....not sure why you think otherwise. Do people not understand he was hurt last year, got hurt in the spring, and got hurt again this year? Otherwise he would have played

Maybe the kid wanted a fresh start after being injured. Had nothing to do with let him go. He left on his own Accord.

I'd only be unhappy if he left on his own Dodge.

This kid on the sideline tweeted the stat line of the TE between UF and Uga, which was obviously not flattering to our team, when we had only the options of Zanders, Odom, and Keeter to put in the game. That doesn't sound like a team player, when he is injured for two years and disses our offense from the bench. That kind of attitude needs to hit the portal, and no better place to go than to a team that loves drama. This is the little bit of stuff that we know, and the coaches obviously know more about the situation.

I don't see a position coach who fills in at a different position to coach and wins coach of the year at that different position and goes back to his normal position of TE coach to be fired one year removed from being coach of the year. Not gonna happen, and we shouldn't wish it.

Wan't sure I wanted to bring that up....but it is a fair observation that reflects poorly on the kid

My thought is that he put that tweet out there with intent, and the screenshot will live on the internet for the rest of his life regardless of whether I talk about it or not. I wish him the best in his pursuits and for trying to make it work here, but when he takes shots, he deserves the blowback.
