Extreme GOP candidates allege voter fraud after losing primaries

Two of the most extreme Republican candidates who lost their congressional primaries on Tuesday are following Donald Trump’s example and blaming their defeats on electoral fraud – without providing any evidence for it.

Laura Loomer and Carl Paladino, who competed in Florida and New York, respectively, both came within single digits of their more mainstream opponents. Both have spent years chasing controversy, and have run for various high-ranking public offices without success.

Ms Loomer, a noted Islamophobe who has made a reputation staging stunt protests – including at congressional hearings – came within seven points of her main rival in Florida’s 11th Congressional District.

Reacting to her loss, she gave a tearful speech in which she insisted “I’m not conceding! Because I’m a winner, and the reality is our Republican Party is broken to its core,” blaming her defeat – and the supposed loss of the country as a whole – on “big tech election interference”.

The Oklahoma candidate to replace Congressman Markwayne Mullin lost in his runoff election yesterday. It is interesting in that he (Frix) tied himself to Trump in almost all of his campaign material, Brecheen defeated him. Mullin won the Rep nomination to replace Sen. Inhoff who is retiring just 2 years into his new term.

Loomer is kicking it up a notch

Failed congressional candidate Laura Loomer still won’t concede defeat in Tuesday’s Republican Primary. In a new Telegram post, the internet provocateur baselessly alleged fraud determined the outcome of an election she lost by nearly 7 percentage points.

“I actually am the Congresswoman in Florida’s 11th District, and everyone knows it,” she wrote. “I’m not going anywhere except Washington, D.C. Florida’s 11th District is my home and I am going to keep fighting for the people here who have zero representation thanks to the feckless GOP establishment and voter fraud.”

“Daniel Webster is illegitimate and my team and I will work to drive him into the ground every step of the way until he collapses in disgrace (or poor health) and resigns like he should have years ago,” she posted.

I enjoy it, but it is crazy how this board has to be about 95 percent left. And, while I have no real way of knowing for sure, it seems like the regular boards are more right. It’s hard to tell because the mods rightfully keep this off of them, but the casual remarks from many of them do seem that way.

She's just following the Donald's playbook. In Trump world, a Trumper never loses an election. If the vote count goes against him or her, the election was stolen through voter fraud.
