And finding the next men's tennis coach at UF goes on. The reason is not that coaches around the nation are not interested, it is more a question of sorting out the possibilities and making a decision. Our AD has traveled out to Omaha to be with the baseball program at the Collegiate World Series. Therefore I don't see an announcement about the coaching situation with the men's tennis team until he returns.

Seems solid. Hopefully the guys relate to him, but he’s basically the same age as BS was when he left.

Adam Steinberg has been successful at every stop. My coaching contacts tell me he can "kill it" at Florida! He is considered to be one of the best veteran coaches in the country. Now we need to keep associate head coach Mat Cloer and volunteer assistant Scott Perelman. They are the key to maintaining continuity in our program. The team members are very anxious for both of them to be retained. We will know in short order if this happens.

Assistant coach situation should be settled next week as Coach Steinberg will be in Gainesville.

Yes it is good news, and will solidify the lineup for next season, as it is improbable any one will transfer.

Next season division one tennis teams will be allowed to have a third paid coach. Up until now a team could only have a head coach, an assistant coach both of whom were paid. The third coach designated a volunteer assistant was not paid. Starting next fall the third coach will be a paid position.
Our volunteer assistant Scott Perelman has been with us for Shelton's entire run at Florida. Hopefully Adam Steinberg will appoint Coach Perelman as the person who becomes the third paid coach this week.

Coach Scott Perelman will remain at Florida as the third paid assistant coach. This is so important to our program as Coach P has been and will continue to be the glue that holds the entire men's tennis program together!

Great to hear there will be familiarity and continuity in the locker room. The program reached it’s zenith in 2021 and can certainly get there again.

Really have to hope the signees can contribute immediately in a big way, Nate can find his game, and the Polish guys can take a step forward in year 2.
