Since there are now 68 teams, not 64 anymore, I believe this means that the Gators will be just outside the play-in games, and will receive that "bye" to the "2nd Round", which everyone pretty much still thinks of as the First Round.

 

In the most current AP poll, 8 SEC teams were in the top 25 or received votes. We were not one of them. We are going to have to earn are way in, but we will have plenty of opportunities to do so.

 

I think that we are in the top seven in the SEC right now in my evaluation.

We are essentially tied with A&M in KenPom at #39. 6 teams ahead of us, but not much margin between us and A&M and Miss State. Big jump after that to Kentucky.

Big jump after us to South Carolina at #64.

 

Just gotta win games and all those ratings and rankings will resolve themselves. Just hate being a bubble team year after year. It's been that way for a long time.

 

Very frustrating, makes it all so stressful.

But assuming we go 2-1 in the next 3, that’d put us at 4-4. Still on the bubble, BUT we could realistically finish 8-2 in the final 10 which would finally make us firmly in. Big ifs all around.

 

FSU basketball team is 5-2 in the ACC and tied for second. If they keep winning, that becomes a better win
