Otis tries to sac bunt, apparently, and beats it out for an infield single. Bases loaded, no outs.

 

Wallace drives in 2 with a single - 6-0 Gators, 2 on no outs.

 

Grad Sr. LHP Shelby Harpe the new pitcher for JU.

 

Otis tried to score on a ball that got away from the catcher and got thrown out. Wallace advances to 3rd, but now 1 out.

 

Erickson gets a sac fly to RF to drive in Skylar. 7-0 UF.

 

Ava Brown singles to LF on a 3-1 pitch.

 

Goddard flies out to CF to end the inning.

In his pre-game interview, Coach Walton said he wanted the team to be aggressive at the plate, but to be more selective with the pitches they go after. He said that over the weekend they were swinging at a lot of balls out of the zone and he was stressing more plate discipline, while staying aggressive, going into tonight's game. It seems they have been doing that tonight.

 

3-4-5 up for the Dolphins. Leadoff hitter pops out to SS on a 2-2 count.
