Equally off-topic, I had a CHE professor at UF whose wife was a Winn-Dixie heiress (or so we heard). He didn’t have to work, but taught because he enjoyed it.

Price controls will increase demand if the controls keep the price from going too high. The only way I can think of the government bringing down demand for housing that would be constitutional would be a sales tax on every real estate transaction. If every sale had 20% to 40% tacked on as a tax, demand would drop significantly.

Of course, that would not lower the price.

That’s not at all what I said.

As a general rule presidents don’t have a a huge impact on the economy and governors have even less.

It's amazing how many Liberals think polls are their brain... obey your master... like a druggie obeys their addiction.

I lived in the SJTC exit off 9A

We spread our shopping around getting certain things between Publix, Walmart, Target, and Costco. Being fortunate enough to be near each one of those places. We have since moved but there's an Aldi and Sprouts there now. Way too many options

I'm familiar with the Publix and Winn-Dixie there off Baymeadows. I frequented the Native Sun there back when it was open. They had good hot food.

I like a clean grocery store and will pay extra for the environment. Think about it… if they can’t present the food to you nicely where they know you see it, imagine how it is treated where you cannot see. Gross.
    • Aldi sucks. I like consistency and they aren’t consistent. I know people love them though.
    • Publix is expensive but I’ll get prepared foods from there sometimes. People love them too
    • Harris Teeter is the place I go in NC. They are clean and reasonable priced and they have a beer and wine bar, lol.
    • Walmart - meh. I have no issues with their place but it is just a zoo there.

    Orlando.... Again
Kroger delivers in orlando despite not having a store for > 100 miles around. This has become our goto for non-perishable groceries. (they do seem to choose the worst meat/vegetables/fruits they can find for delivery however)

I believe it’s in Groveland. And it’s a massive warehouse building.

I've seen a lot of Kroger trucks delivering around the Tampa area, but not one store. Not sure when it started, but it's only been relatively recent. Anyone know if they have plans to start opening stores? Perhaps they are getting their distribution set up with the delivery service, then start building actual grocery stores. I love Publix, but I did live in Atlanta for a bit and liked Kroger while I was there... I think it would be a good thing to have more choices...
