Apparently what I've read is Harris was offered and accepted the job Tues but the chargers wanted to keep it quiet till aftwrntheir game Sunday to avoid any distractions. CBN being goods friends with their DC Derick Ansley , tried to respect their request but it started to leak out from some recruits and today an official visitor spilled the beans early .... and poof here we are. We've had our DB coach since the 5th.

 

We have guesses. They claimed to have intricate knowledge and one even claimed to have a copy of the contract and said that they would fill us in later. You don’t know if the money fell through completely, one side wanted to change the numbers, an attorney wanted a bigger cut that neither side agreed to pay. You don’t really know anything other than it got botched. There’s a bunch of different stories floating around. Nothing confirmed by an actual source or backed with anything other than rumor.

 

Must have something to do with scared money.

I like this hire because Harris has more than a decent resume.
It appears that he can coach up players in a hurry which is what the Gators need.

I am curious why the obsession with ST. Gators had a great punter. Once they found their field goal kicker, he was good at reasonable distances. I don't recall any particular issues with punt or kick off coverage?
Piersall played it safe on punt receptions; but is that so bad? No turnovers.
