JMO, but if Napier was a stand-up guy as many here have suggested, he'd start Lagway today and not look back. This team isn't going to a bowl game, so there's nothing the program gains by giving Mertz more starts. And we'd be that much more ahead of the curve going into next season. No matter who the coach is.

 

Lagway is the future. Mertz gives us the best chance to win today. Napier has only today.
