And DeSantis answers back the only he knows how, through deep-seated, string-armed retaliation with no regard to consequences.

He’s now going to ban ALL AP courses in Florida schools. It certainly hurts our students, it certainly depreciates our universities, but DeSantis gets to be the tough guy. I’m just grateful that my kids graduated high school years ago and don’t need to worry about his degradation of our system.

And here he is threatening to kick AP out of Florida. I can’t imagine his voters supporting his efforts to make their kids less competitive. What a flaming idiot. Glad my kids are not in HS in Florida.

The full letter is even better than that :)

College Board Commitment to AP African American Studies – All Access

College Board called the FDOE and asked if the state of Florida had any requests or suggestions.

This just seems to be a can of worms kind of situation. The teachers will have the latitude in this course to go all over the place…including off topic as many libbies are prone to do.
I could see this course causing race issues as the discourse could heat up and divide the classroom quickly.
Perhaps these politicians are two steps ahead of you.

Yeah, that’s likely it. Arkansas politicians are just being progressive here. I’m sure that’s it.

Disappointing. History will not be kind to the current oppressors. I truly hope that this will be but a blip in our history.

I agree but not like you think.
When the libbies stop with calling everything that moves racist….you’ll see others trust their children in the libbie dominated education domain.
It’s fascinating that our country has come so far and yet the left cannot quit the racial division.
It’s almost as if they don’t want it to go away. Sad as hell.

Credit to them for being honest, but I'd be gearing up to sue them if I was an attorney in Arkansas.
