The things some folks are willing to do for him are just baffling.

Should also be noted that the sponsor of the legislation is Ileana Garcia who was elected because of the ghost candidate scheme by Frank Artiles. Election shenanigans LOL

So when does the orange one threaten to sue the DNC, Biden, or the good humor ice cream man for " reparations"?

Maybe Jimmy longs for bigger pastures. This is the kind of obsequious gesture trump is likely to reward with an appointment to high office.

I’d think there would be some kind of voter blowback, but I’ve been wrong before

I don't see why not. All you need is for Desantis to say he wants it

DeSantis nixes Florida Republican’s plan to help pay Trump legal fees (msn.com)

“It’s in Florida’s best interest to make sure their champion for the President is allowed a fair shot at the White House without being taken down by some fake witch hunt,” Patronis said Monday.

But DeSantis’s campaign account on X, the site formerly known Twitter, quickly chimed in, sharing a story from Politico with the headline, “Some Florida Republicans want taxpayers to pay Trump’s legal bills,” and making his position clear.

“But not the Florida Republican who wields the veto pen,” he quipped."

Folks need to remember, Patronis is a nole .........

Withdrawn, but that doesn’t erase the shame in proposing it. This from a Cuban American whose parents ostensibly fled such shenanigans!

I realized that Florida was now being run by the most ignorant people in the country, but I had not idea that their ignorance sunk to this depth.

This was even a bridge too far for DeSantis, probably more because of the political rivalry but whatever. At least he squashed this idiotic bill for now.

Kind of a shame, I would have love to have seen Florida become an even bigger laughing stock for the nation than it already is.
