Honestly, I don’t know. I can only think he though Vance would respond in good faith. I agree it was a serious misstep (since diplomacy is ultimately about outcomes). If I was Zelenskyy I wouldn’t have even talked to Vance.
US troops cannot be obligated because we are a nuclear superpower and can't afford to engage Russia directly because we are the NATO nuclear deterrence provider which would mean nuclear escalation in the worst case. Of course we need to back whoever takes on the security guarantees - which Putin will never accept unless he is forced to due to circumstances on the ground.
Zelenskyy didn’t suspend the elections, it’s literally written into their constitution. He was democratically elected and you even pulled up the article that the parliament just affirmed no elections. Frankly, ignoring all your prior BS this is all the evidence needed to show you are not participating in good faith.
Quite literally every U.S. president who has ever held office would have been offended if Zelenskyy took that tact with them.
Right. So if Biden declared martial law and a democratic Congress approved of it, you would have no issue with it right? So long as a Republican wasn’t elected? Liberals are the biggest threat to democracy.
So you have no problem that he has suspended elections, and has taken the assets of his political opponents? Talk about laziness on your behalf, or worse hypocritical.
Literally no president has ever demanded public groveling either so it’s doubtful any other president would have been in that position.
I guess you don’t support freedom of the press. Zelensky nationalizes TV news and restricts opposition parties
