A personal foul and ejection for spitting? Another ejection for targeting? Game-changing after game-changing, inexcusable penalties handing the win to F$U.

I've always supported our team through thick and thin, win or lose, but this loss was absolutely unacceptable.

Off-the-field problems are one thing, but Florida simply cannot afford on-the-field self defeat while attempting to rebuild.

We gave a garbage F$U team the playoff platform and all that comes with it.

Wasn't Billy supposed to improve the Gator culture? It's clearly gotten worse, not better, under his "leadership."

Address the glaring discipline problems and coordinator gaps or go away, I say.

So, you’re OK with one of our players spitting on the opponent? To lose to the better team is one thing, but to lose due to a complete lack of discipline is quite another.

You mean playing the #5 ranked team in the nation... playing against an inexperienced QB in his freshman year embarrassed you?

Lol... you never played football!!!! Or you are not a true Gator fan...

UF grad ‘91 and fan since freshman year. And, yes, I’ve never been embarrassed by the team’s on-the-field performance until last weekend.

F$U without their starting qb is NOT a top team, but UF let them stay that way due to a complete lack of discipline.

    NOT ACCEPTABLE!

You think we lose that game without the inexcusable penalties?

I'm going to side with the OP and add another descriptive. I was both embarrassed AND disgusted by the spitting incident. It was a new low in Gator football and not the mark a disciplined team. The two losses to Kentucky, a loss to Vanderbilt and a home loss to Arkansas, now those were embarrassing.

I’ve never been embarrassed even by bad losses, but agree that the spitting incident along with subsequent brain farts was an all-time low for team character. Urban’s teams had major off-field issues, but always played smart, clean football!

The spitting incident was obviously pitiful but I doubt it was something he decided to do out of thin air for no reason. If the guy was Darnell Docketted under the pile the last three plays (which FSU is well known for as we know) then it was retaliation which I think is likely. Not a good move in front of the ref for sure but Id like to see replays of some prior plays or hear his side of the story. Considering the ACC refs were "letting them play" particularly on one side Im sure a player can get frustrated with the other team "giving him the business" under the pile. It doesn't excuse what he did to his teammates but FSU players are a dirty bunch. Always have been.

Totally agree re how dirty F$U is, but we need to be better than them!

And was is Stricklin who let the ACC refs back in The Swamp? If so, shame on him!

Spitting on another person is one of the most disgusting things you can do. If a player from another school did that we'd shake our heads and say "Their coach enables that scumbag behavior."

Tell that to Earnest Graham...or Kyle Trask (at UT..another dirty program)...spit never ended anyone's career. I wouldn't fault Earnest Graham for getting up and spitting in Docketts face if the refs refused to call something. I honestly wouldn't fault him if he got up and proceeded to beat his ass from one end of the field to the other for doing that. Stuff happens under the pile all the time (particularly with FSU) so I doubt our player just decided to spit at him...
