I’m headed to the First Lady Luncheon in DC tomorrow. Our local Representative Neil Dunn’s wife is in charge of it this year and they are friends and neighbors so the wife and I are going. It’s nonpartisan so other than whatever crazy is protesting outside it should be pretty bland. We politely declined to get a covid test in order to take a picture with Jill. I don’t think my buddies would let me live that down anyway. I’ll post some pics if I can.
This is akin to Thanksgiving dinner at your Mother in Law’s place: The food is great but you won’t care for the company.
Just remember everything you learned here. If you hear something you like, hold up a trophy and yell “best post ever”. If you hear something ridiculous, slap your forehead and yell “c’mon man”.
If they have those stick on sharpie name tags, write "Hunter" on yours and keep telling people that you need to get up front to ask "mom" for the "wifi password" .
Very nice event yesterday that benefited the American military family association. There were not too many guys there. The dignitaries ranged from Pelosi and Harris’s husbands to Some Supreme Court wives.
