Should say I think this is the first. Welcome correction.
Long been predicted and there was some surprise it had not happened earlier.

This was done well before AI. It’s a time honored voter suppression method. Tell them the date has changed; their precinct has changed, hours have changed etc.

The difference is they are using Biden's voice. Scary when you look at it deeper. That could be used against any of us. Use your voice to activate new subscriptions, transfer money from your account, transfer a deed, etc. Anywhere your voice is needed could be used against you. Imagine having a device that allows someone to talk into their phone but it sounds like you. There's an actual tool for that today - it allows content creators to talk into a mic so that AI can get to know your voice. Then they can hit a button and pick any language and AI records over your video in the language you selected. It allows content creators to post videos in any language i.e. those who have subs for learning to play guitar now can provide that service to anyone. On paper it's a great idea, but someone could steal that algorithm and use it against that creator.

Yes - documented phone jamming - convictions

The 2002 New Hampshire Senate election phone jamming scandal involved the use of a telemarketing firm hired by that state's Republican Party (NHGOP) for election tampering. The tampering involved using a call center to jam the phone lines of a get out the vote (GOTV) operation. In the end, 900 calls were made for 45 minutes of disruption to the Democratic-leaning call centers.

During that state's 2002 election for the United States Senate seat being vacated by Republican Bob Smith, the NHGOP hired GOP Marketplace, based in northern Virginia, to jam another phone bank being used by the state Democratic Party and the firefighters' union for efforts to turn out voters on behalf of then-Governor of New Hampshire Jeanne Shaheen on Election Day. John E. Sununu, the Republican nominee, won a narrow victory. In addition to criminal prosecutions, disclosures in the case have come from a civil suit filed by the state's Democratic Party against the state's Republican Party (now settled).

Four men were convicted of, or pleaded guilty to, federal crimes and sentenced to prison for their involvement. One conviction was reversed by an appeals court. James Tobin, freed on appeal, was later indicted on charges of lying to the FBI during the original investigation.

I'm just waiting for Big Milk to get involved. My cell rings, and my wife's voice says "Honey, can you pick up some milk on the way home?" Then I get home, and the fridge is already full of milk!

Yeah. I think my example involved a fake nuclear strike announcement or somethin and not having adequate time to determine what was real or not before having to counter. I just don't know the pathway to combat where this is ultimately heading.
