Yeah, almost nobody has the energy for the circular defending of the most vile figure in modern political history. Yet somehow you put your shoulder to the wheel and soldier on!

To your point; please. Just stop. We were there. Whether it was publicly modeling harmful policy, like not masking.. ..or defaming states who enacted measures ..... or lying to the public ...... or peddling quack medicines. .... or encouraging anti-vax kooks .....

.....Trump cost thousands, probably hundreds of thousands, of Americans their lives. He lied to the country repeatedly. Because he DIDN'T CARE. He was only worried about his re-election.

So sure, you can shill for your Trump. You can try to falsely represent that it was because he's simply some magnificent libertarian, deeply opposed to mandates .... but we all know better. We were there.

Yep. And the evidence is mounting that paxlovid will be the biggest waste of money since Tamiflu for treating sometime like this.

There are probably multiple factors going on. Your doctor probably does not know your prescription coverage and knows the end points for the results from the drug. Sounds like your doctor understands that medicine is not a one size fits all approach. Honestly I think it is really good that you called your doctor to ask over just taking the script from an urgent care.

    Feel Better!

Ironically, Trump's Project Warp Speed played a significant role in the development of Covid vax. When he urged people to take the vax at one of his MAGA rallies in early 2021 he was booed, probably the only time that he was ever booed by his own supporters. After that event he never publicly supported or took credit for the vax and started opposing vaccine mandates and even the promotion of the vax by public health workers.

Trumps only interest in the vaccines was to be able to take credit. That’s it. When their cult-idol was denied this public health savior status, it caused a clear psychological break if not mass psychosis instantly converting many to anti-vaxxer status overnight. Still kind of crazy looking back at them booooo dear leader. Trump spread alot of false garbage in 2020 and 2021. But I think he was still generally pro-vaccine until this booing event. Now RFK JR is head of HHS so i think we can forget about responsible adults in the room.

Don't tell this to a certain mod here.

Trump developed the vaccine and insisted people take it, among advocating for many many other research-based methods to keep people safe.

Trump also was very truthy in everything he said about covid. Because he loves people and he loves America.

    More lies by you.

Telling the truth, even about a bad person, isnt defending them.

    Alec Baldwin has nice hair.
    He's still a scumbag.

Jameis Winston was a good college QB. He is still a scumbag.

Donald Trump pushed for a vaccine...

    See how it works?

Again...opposing mandates on a quickly rushed vaccine isnt the same as opposing a vaccine.

I took the jabs. I didnt support my kid being forced to. I didn't support taking peoples livelihoods away.

    Huge difference.

Until he didn't. He played it for politics, almost immediately, his rhetoric changing daily if not hourly to fit the crowd he was talking to that day.

It's like DeSantis. I watched him tell people to get vaccinated multiple times (and even argued with Ds over this) then watched him pretend he didn't during the primary. Again, Military Coup or bust. When the political system is this broken, there's no turning back.

You got Covid for one reason, people like to be around you so you were exposed more. The anti-vaxer crowd not so much. Who wants to be around someone with bleach breath?

My guess is that since you’ve been vaxed your doctor felt comfortable enough to believe your symptoms wouldn’t be as bad. Further the virus has mutated to the point that it isn’t as deadly as it was.

Apparently Tilly believes the government has the right to tell a private business how to operate.

I can see that perhaps the side effects from Paxlovid conflicted with your conditions and it wasn't advisable.

Oh wow, I'm starting to see how it works. Thanks!!

Another way that it works is that changing what you're saying in the middle of a conversation is generally considered not being honest. Some people consider not being honest, well ...... lying.

So now you're arguing that Trump "pushed for a vaccine." Who are you arguing that against though - nobody disputed that. Needed a strawman?

Earlier you said that : To say he didnt support the covid vax is simply dishonest.

He supported creating it, then disparaged it when he saw that his cult was opposed to it. As has been well-documented in this very thread. For you to try and assert that he's simply some great libertarian, and that was his only opposition to both the vaccine and taking precautions against covid is .... absurd. Some might even call it making a dishonest argument, or lying.

How did you feel about cruise ship personnel? Although I do not recall how the issue was finally resolved I remember DeSantis threatening cruise ship companies over their vaccine mandates for both employees and passengers. The mandates seemed rather reasonable considering the cruise ship clients tended to be older and more at risk from suffering a serious life-threatening Covid infection (remember at the time the dominant variant was much more lethal than the current dominant variant) and that any communicable infectious illness has the potential to spread like wild fire on a cruise ship.

This off topic, but if we are opposing mandates, we should be opposing the TSA pat-downs and long lines because of one terrorist attack which created a Trillion dollar agency that is a giant jobs program.
