I has aches and a fever so I went to urgent care to get a flu test since you need to start tamiflu within 48 hours. Well I tested negative for the flu but positive for Covid. My first time. And the day after Kennedy was sworn in. A coincidence? I picked up Paxlovid. Although my copay was just $25, the retail price was $1777. I then texted my primary care doctor asking if I should take it. He said to not take it at this time and we can reassess on Sunday. I am a heart patient so some would consider me high risk although my doctors don’t consider me high risk.

I never got COVID-19, not that I think I did because I never got the flu during that time. I also NEVER got the "vaccine" and I am so freaking happy about that.

I don't know how I would fell if I were a heart patient. On second thought, I might have come to the same conclusion when researching the vaccine or any medical treatments. But I would get second and third doctor's opinions on it, for sure, if I had that. Not at all giving advice, just saying how I would react if I were a heart patient and got flu like sickness.

Good for you. That's your choice to make, and I can and do respect your right to do that. I just do NOT like mandates concerning MY HEALTH.

Federal workers were required to get it although they could throw the religious flag to try and avoid it

It's only a Democrat hoax. Just ask Q or the guy you voted for. Why are you even treating it?

I hope you feel better soon Vax. I have had COVID twice; suffered with a fever twice and I lost taste for a few weeks the second time. Listen to your doctor that you trust and things will get better.

$1777 is around a $250,000 monthly home mortgage payment. Medication shouldn’t be an adults highest (or second highest for us lucky ones) monthly expense.

I am surprised you were advised not to start the Paxlovid, my understanding was it is best if used at first sign of symptoms. Hope you get better soon.

I had “Covid toe.” It’s a thang. Didn’t realize that wasn’t a FB science horseshit thing until after the fact.

Wife lost her taste for 6 months. Lucky for her she had it before, thus her fab hubby.

She was pretty “flu sick” for about two weeks. No hospital or anything.

And we are every booster deep.

Feel better @vaxcardinal . I only have had it once as well. Wife, all 3 kids and myself had it Christmas of 2020. Sucky time to get it.

All of us had different symptom types

I did stop after the 2nd booster, and havent been sick a day since 2020. I rarely get sick, but maybe the vax helped ..or maybe I just rarely get sick, no idea.

I've had it once, coughed a lot and felt pretty miserable, but no fever. Took about a week to recover. I've had 2 Covid shots, none for awhile.

LOL. Not really. Trump turned anti-vax as soon as he tested the political winds and realized that his followers had been brainwashed by the anti-vax kooks.

Perhaps you failed to notice his DHHS pick?

He does our populace a grave disservice by encouraging the kookery. As do you by trying to distort his position on it.

Trump orders end to federal funding for schools that require Covid vaccines

President Donald Trump on Friday signed an executive order halting federal funds for schools that require students to be vaccinated against coronavirus before they can attend classes in person.

Trump’s administration has already taken steps to end coronavirus vaccine requirements at the federal level, including for green card applicants, and reinstated service members who were discharged for refusing the vaccine.

I've tested positive for COVID twice, neither times were symptioms severe. I also took the vaccine and 3 boosters. The last time I had it I took paxlovid and I never felt bad after that.

He supported it until he didn't. To say he didn't stop supporting the covid vax is simply dishonest.

Big difference between not "supporting" and not forcing it. He supported its existence.

But I really dont have the energy for your circular games tonight.

    Have a good weekend

I was surprised he said that given that I fall in high risk but I think the logic is there are side effects that might not be desirable if my covid symptoms aren't too bad (ie, can I suck it up?).

I was exposed to it many times but only tested positive once. It was very mild and served as an excuse to avoid family gatherings at Christmas. I kinda liked it.
