Zook had a lot of talent and was a great recruiter. Was not a good delegator, apparently like CBN (essential for a Head Coach), and only made it 3 seasons with 2x the wins as BN.

People can make all the excuses they want, but South Carolina sucks. We’re just a bad football program. I don’t see that changing for a long time. If Napier holds the recruiting class together, we’ll get a little better, but there’s no excuse for this. Our roster is full of much higher rated recruits than SC’s. We’re just not good.
