I figured he would be more likely to accept that one.

That is one of the biggest piles of BS I’ve ever seen on here and that’s saying something. Rationalizing skipping houses because of political affiliation is sickening on either side. And you are seemingly ok with it.

I searched last night and only came across a NY Post story, which cited Daily Wire. So that’s why I still had doubts.

If more media has independently verified with FEMA, then yes that removes that doubt.

Still, it was one idiot on a canvassing team. Making the leap from that to “weaponization of government” is a ridiculous reach. The people whose houses were skipped may not have even known. Obviously the purpose of canvassing is to help the elderly and poor who may not have the wherewithal or awareness of what FEMA disaster relief is available. So if any MAGA were skipped they should probably double back to that neighborhood. Although as I said kind of doubt anyone is still waiting. Hard hit neighborhoods get bombarded with contractors and neighbors talk.

I read your article, and I can give you an honest discussion. Are you actually ready for an honest discussion though? Let's try....

    1) it certainly appears that this employee may have issued inappropriate politically motivated guidance. We'll probably know for sure later.

    2) Trump spent days, if not weeks, politicizing hurricane disaster relief in NC. In fact, he repeatedly told lies which impeded efforts and nearly caused attacks on aid workers. Did those employees in your article also feel threatened? Again, we don't seem to know for sure.

    3) This appears to be a lowish level person possibly acting on political motivations. But were you upset about a candidate for POTUS repeatedly LYING about aid efforts for....political motivations?

If you want honest discourse it requires honesty from you also.
Are you able to see and willing to admit how Trump's intentional lying may have contributed to this situation by injecting unsafety for aid workers into the equation?

And finally: would it not be outright hypocrisy for someone to totally ignore Trump's misconduct -repeatedly lying about FEMA relief- but for that person to then expect total integrity and good intentions from those his lying may have threatened?

I'm interested to see if you truly want honest discourse.

Obviously I didn't read the whole article and that's my bad. The FEMA employee was clearly wrong and has been removed. Even if he thought it was a safety issue, he had no business telling them to avoid Trump supporters.
Again, I apologize for jumping the gun in dismissing it.

He changed from liking a post that said the story was horseshit to saying it was sound advice.

So we are in the “it’s true but it’s an isolated incident” part of the rationalization. Got it.

Your last sentence is a bit condescending and disingenuous considering your initial post was about “BS conspiracy lies from Trump supporters”. Then, you call posters “totally ignorant on the issue” for giving you a “come on man”.

Since it is unbelievable please post a link to a source more credible than the Daily Wire including evidence that's systematic, Thanks.

By the way after Trump takes office there will be a real possibility that FEMA will discriminate against states and other areas that voted against Trump in providing disaster relief. Let's not forget that during his first term Trump tried to deny disaster relief following a wildfire to a county in California until someone told that a majority of voters in that particular area voted for him even though the state voted for Clinton.
Trump refused to give California wildfire aid until told how many people there voted for him, ex-aide says

Well, it does take a little while for other media outlets to verify a breaking story from one source. That part is understandable. Although it was one supervisor, I still find it troubling that nobody went up the chain of command with a concern about that order.

So you can't even address the post you quoted? Weird.

Perhaps I read more (your article) and having learned more, posted accordingly? But you are dodging the very post you quote. Why?

is it because my post confronts you with the rational logic that if you want to claim righteous political victimhood now, you had a responsibility to reject unacceptable and inciteful lying from your POTUS candidate.

You don't see that point? Or is your side simply entitled to every RIGHT of decency and legality.....but bound by none of the RESPONSIBILITIES?

False, I did not post a link that was more credible than the Daily Wire. :)

Thanks for the reasonable response. Unless more comes out about this, I think it’s reasonable to conclude it was the fault of this supervisor. I don’t believe FEMA was out to punish Trump supporters.

I did after I posted and I concede that it happened although the person responsible appears to be a single FEMA employee probably a first line supervisor who had gone rogue. There is still absolutely no evidence that it was systemic or actual agency policy as the Daily Wire article implied. I would also add that according to the CNN article her behavior is being investigated by the agency and my guess is that she will be disciplined and demoted at a minimum and possibly terminated.
