She at least needs to serve out the rest of her term.

No, its not. Whoever is behind her should have let her live out her last years in peace. Just went through this with my grandmother. It was agonizing to watch.

She should have retired in 2018, if not earlier.

I would like to see Feinstein replaced by either Steve Kerr, LeBron, or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

I get your point and it's a good one.

But maybe it was HER WISH to carry on as she did. That counts for something.

Am hearing the Rs will let Dems replace her on committee, which they would not do if she resigned.

Have not seen anything about the process in Cali for replacing a senator. Is it by special election or appointment?

I get why people think this, but same time, for good or bad, these are elected officials and thus reflect majority will. Not saying there shouldn't be any mandatory laws since some folks should be excluded from ever holding office, regardless, but it's different with those in office already. In any case, the very people who would set such a law have a lot of personal stake in not having such a law. :)

Good thing she voted “yea” yesterday on the day she died. I’m sure we was acutely aware of the issue at hand when “she” voted.
