Both states had a surge...both saw a huge drop off after the surge. Florida is seeing cases decrease weekly since July. Michigan is seeing them consistently increase since July. I mean we can all use numbers. My point is her state isnt doing much if any better than the states taking a different approach. And she has a less vulnerable population.
Yes the government must take armed militias seriously to be sure. But I am sorry that crew in the photo doesn't really scream intimidating despite their efforts to seem that way. Bunch of wannabe clowns with nothing better to do.
So 13 deaths isn't better than 85 deaths? I personally think it is. Probably why you switched from discussing deaths to discussing relative changes in cases (since levels of cases doesn't help your argument either, as they have less than half of those as well, currently). Add in that they are currently running more raw tests than Florida and have a positivity rate that is 1/3 of Florida, it is clear who is currently doing better in terms of the virus. Look at the timeline of the surges. Michigan began its surge in late March. Florida's did not begin until mid June.
That's the FBI's MO, entrap the dumbest people in this country into cockamamie schemes. Its pretty much all they are good at.
I Apparently it went beyond the talking stage. They trained with firearms and even tried to assemble and detonate an IED. READ HERE: Criminal complaint outlines Michigan militia group's plot to kidnap Gov. Whitmer I'm not all that surprised that a so called militia attempted a plot like the one alleged in the complaint. For decades it's been a rather common narrative and I think even repeated by some conservatives on this board that the purpose of the Second Amendment was to permit the formation of ad hoc militias if it ever became necessary to use force against a tyrannical government. Considering that not an insignificant number of nut cakes consider Gov. Whitmer's Covid-related restrictions a form of tyranny the fact that some of the crazies decided to act shouldn't be all that surprising. Here's a photo of the some of those clowns demonstrating outside the state capitol building (not the ones specifically charged but individuals who probably harbor sentiments similar to those of the charged individuals).
(EDIT: There probably isn't a standoff) There is a standoff: I read earlier that they were also looking for home addresses of police officers.
Florida's surge never exceeded 26% positivity. They got it down to less than 3% but then it surged back up to almost 20% in July. Michigan hit 91% in late March/early April but got it below 5% by May. That was astounding. It hasn't exceeded 5% since then. Their rolling seven day positivity rate is now 3.1%. "Her" state has the 12th lowest positivity rate in the country. Florida is 37th.
good mask compliance. funny/sad how they want to use masks to hide their identities but not to help prevent the spread of covid
These kinds of people are a hoot. They know they’re FOS, but they sit around drinking beer and cleaning their weapons and convince themselves otherwise.
Well sure. It is less than half the pop of Florida with a much lower vulnerable pop. And I said her state isnt doing "much if any better". As a whole. Her economic shutdown has cost almost twice the percentage of jobs lost. So again...as a whole. The total deaths in Michigan almost mirror Florida's by population %. Look we can all spin numbers and I don't live in Florida any more and haven't in a long time. She has almost twice the deaths of even her liberal counterpart here in NC who has been quicker to open up than her. (Though still a bit slow imo) So I can compare her to other liberals as well. They are out performing her on many key metrics. But I also should not have hijacked. What people are doing to her personally is terrible and they should pay for it.
