The Federal Reserve releases their Beige Book 8 times yearly: The Fed - Beige Book - September 7, 2022 (federalreserve.gov) I see more of the same with an uptick in the CPI as gasoline isn't going down 7% again and other things have continued to go up, say up from 8.5% to the 8.7% to 9.0% range. The CPI will be released next Tuesday, September 13. Happy Economic Reading (boring)!
Pretty much what I’ve been saying. Higher interest rates isn’t the remedy we need. Just need to wait it out and let time allow for production to catch up is what we need. Biden was right that much of this is transitional. The labor part isn’t transitional though. That’s sticky.
