There is no free lunch. The American taxpayers as a whole will be on the hook for the few.

As pointed out above by me in post #11, Biden never made a campaign promise to forgive student loan debt to run on and be elected on in 2020. It was never on the ballot or in the plan to do. Biden is setting himself up to be above the law and the constitution, a dictator, by abusing what was done for coping during covid and what was agreed to and signed off on in two budget ceilings agreements after Biden vetoed a bipartisan law to stop student loan forgiveness from happening. The SCOTUS, the laws, and the constitution are all that stands between the democratic socialist communist party from turning the US in to an authoritarian state, The United Socialist States of America. Thank God for the SCOTUS.

Insofar as the 2024 presidential election, we intend to fire the bum in the WH and give Trump 47 an electoral mandate so large congress will work with him on day 1. Joe Biden you're fired!

I am breaking my own rules wasting time arguing with a person who isn't capable of even comprehending the issues. So after I correct your many errors, I'm moving on from the conversation:
    1. Biden did campaign on $10,000 of student debt forgiveness:
Biden Affirms: “I Will Eliminate Your Student Debt”

    2. The HEROES Act of 2003 authorized the Secretary of Education to provide that debt forgiveness during the COVID national emergency. Republican SCOTUS eschewed the plain text of the statute after improperly reaching the merits when Missouri lacked standing. Missouri suffered no injury.
    3. There were no constitutional rights at stake. In fact, not a single actual person was harmed by Biden's debt relief. That is why Republican SCOTUS had to use Missouri's joke of a case as the vehicle.
    4. Cry about the policy all you'd like. The Supreme Court's job is not to enforce your policy preferences because your party lost the election. In doing that, it overstepped its boundaries and pissed on the Constitution. But that's why the Republicans stocked it with their politicians. So when they lose elections, it and other right-wing "courts" can prevent Democrats from governing.

Feel free to proceed with your demagoguery.

LOL! Go to school for free at state universities. How did that work out?

Standing? Obviously, lower courts and the SCOTUS do not agree with you.

$10,000 in student debt relief, different from forgiveness. This was in an interview with Colbert, may as well have been entertainment tonight.

This is going to be struck down a second time:

Biden's student loan forgiveness plan blocked - YouTube

I gave you a link above listing Biden's campaign promises. Student debt forgiveness wasn't on it, not even followed up on in 2023 to see how Biden was doing on his promises.

Winning an election does not give the winner the right to eff laws and the constitution.

Biden signed two budgets with increased debt ceilings combined with doing away with student loan debt as a condition. Congress sends the budgetary legislation, and the president signs it. It works nice and democratically. Wouldn't have had to be put in the budget except Biden vetoed bipartisan legislation ending student debt forgiveness. Gotta buy those votes.

    Thank God for the SCOTUS.

Feel free to move on. Your points are baseless and false.

Somebody has to pay for this. It can easily be argued that increasing taxes as Biden has stated he will do if reelected is the new money he doesn't have the right raise to use on this initiative. Congress has to do it.

It is always amusing when Trump republicans act like they care about debt.

Everybody picks up the tab, one way or other, via future federal debt service, and higher interest rates in general.
